What was I thinking?  “brick walls and concrete base, which shouldn’t prove too much of a problem with Peter wielding a large sledge hammer.”

I must need my head looking at, we’ve never worked so hard, but yesterday, after 2 days of blood, sweat and tears, the walls and concrete base are gone. Well I say ‘gone’ they’re actually in another part of the garden in a different order, ie a big pile of rubble!

This picture shows the job on day one when we had only removed about one third of the base.

I have so far dressed and stacked 168 whole bricks and still have another 30 or so to go. The rest are just broken pieces so are no good to recycle other than hardcore which we don’t need.

Onward and upward.
