Well, it’s now exactly 6 weeks since the conservatory was pulled down and what a 6 weeks it has been.

The whole project, which sounded quite straightforward in the beginning, has taken over our lives. If we’re not outdoors working on it, we’re indoors recovering from working on it!

At last, yesterday, we laid the final turf, and apart from levelling the odd flag stone the job is done.

I did actually take a photo of the finished product, but hadn’t reckoned on the very long shadows cast over it by the low sun shining through the adjacent shrubs, so I might have to have a go at that another day.

I’m just glad of a rest, but what am I saying? All the gardening I should have been doing these last 6 weeks is still waiting for me! Hey-ho.
