Today I dug up about half of the first of my potato beds, Aron Pilot. Results were a bit variable in size, but in total I got 15lbs 12oz, which isn’t bad for a start.

Over the last few days I’ve also picked 5lbs of blackcurrants and made 10 jars of jam. I could have picked more, but there’s a limit to how much blackcurrant jam I can eat in a year, and I’ve still got about 3 jars from last year!

I’ve also picked and frozen 1lb of shelled peas and 4lb 5oz of shelled broad beans. Once again not a bad start.
