Today I had planned to sow my peas, but instead I decided to plant my onion sets.

We bought two varieties, ‘Sturon’ and ‘Stuttgarter’. I planted in the same bed as the shallots, but ran out of room before I’d used them all.

When I counted I’d planted 270! A bit of an ‘over set’ I think, we planted 207 last year and that was plenty.

I’ve still got to find a home for the red onions I’ve grown from seed. Space could become an issue this year.

Hopefully I’ll do the peas tomorrow.
