Today I cleared the last of the tomatoes out of the conservatory and brushed it out ready for it’s annual clean with Jeyes fluid.

I’ll probably do that tomorrow and then have a bath, as the smell of the stuff seems to permeate your entire body. A horrible job, but somebody’s got to do it.

I now have a fridge full of ripe tomatoes and a basket full of green ones.

I put some apples in with these and cover them with a towel, which should help them to ripen. They’ll be perfectly serviceable, but not quite as sweet as those that ripen naturally.

The forecast says we could have frost by the end of the week, so at least now  I have plenty of room to get tender pots inside just in case.
